Nominations and resolutions.

One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back into the habit of updating this page more often. Handy, then, that I have some news to share...

WHEN COOKIE CRUMBLED, by me and Tom Knight, is shortlisted in the James Reckitt Hull Children's Book Award, picture books category. The Hull Libraries SLS team does a phenomenal job of supporting their local schools, and I'm delighted that Michael the Cookie is being read by so many school children in and around Hull -- which has become one of my favourite cities.

Meanwhile, THE THUNK, by me and Rosalind Beardshaw, is long-listed for the Derby Book Festival Children's Picture Book Award! I'm really pleased to see it amongst such varied and diverse company. It's competing against some crackers, including my agent's book, 'You're So Amazing!' I think I should declare a thumb war with him, or something.

I feel very fortunate to be having such an encouraging start to the year. I hope 2024 is treating you well, too.
