Bedford's Year of Reading

What a whirlwind of a weekend! I was invited to take part in a wonderful event to celebrate Bedford's Year of Reading, organised by Bedford Borough Council.

Chris Morris and his excellent team put on a fantastic array of free family fun in their (blissfully air conditioned!) marquee at the Kite and Motoring Festival in Russell Park.

As well as listening to authors, enjoying crafts and taking part in story times, visitors were invited to become Book Fairies, selecting books to wrap in ribbon and hide around the park for people to find. What a delight! 

I'm now back at my desk in Nova Scotia, dreaming up fresh stories and silly shenanigans. Thanks for having me, Bedford! ❤️
